Typhoid Fever in Malaysia

According to Malaysia's Ministry of Health, more than 30 cases of typhoid have been reported from outskirt areas of Kuala Lumpur (Titiwangsa, Kepong, Lembah Pantai, and Cheras) since early August 2015. Risk in usual tourist destinations is minimal. Typhoid vaccination is recommended for all travelers to Malaysia. Extreme food and beverage precautions are recommended.
